Divine By Choice Partholon PC Cast Books
I want to start by saying that you shouldn't let the 4 sexual rating scare you away from this one. I felt I had to rate it that way because of one crazy sex rite done by our bad girl. But it's short and easily skippable (is that a word?) if you don't want to read it. Seriously, like one paragraph.Shannon has settled into her life in Partholon with her centaur husband and endless supply of handmaidens ready to wait on her every need. The danger seems to have passed and life is returning to "normal" once again. But she's uneasy, and with good reason. She finds herself ripped out of Partholon into her old life.
I enjoyed this story, but I had some issues with it as well. Seeing Shannon come in to her own as Epona's Choosen and learning to trust herself and the world around her was great. But I didn't like the twisted love story that wove through the middle of everything. When she meets the man that mirrors her husband things got a little tricky. I totally get her confusion and attraction to him. But I didn't like where that always led.
Finally meeting Rhiannon was very nice though. I love how damaged her character is, and the glimpse into her past only cements that she isn't a truly evil person, but more a victim herself as well. She just didn't deal with things as in a very healthy way. Finally being able to compare her beside Shannon showed sides of both that were quite eye-opening.
A great addition to the world of Partholon, but I just didn't enjoy all the aspects presented.

Divine By Choice Partholon PC Cast Books Reviews
One of the best book series I’ve ever read. Love PCCast!!!
Greqt book love the series. It's very funny and serious at the same time plus some hot action and a HEA worth it!!
I started reading PC Cast, House of Night books. Then found the Divine series. It didn't take me long to read all of them. PC Cast has a wonderful imagination when it comes to Shannon Parker's old & new world.
I was hooked by the 1st book and couldn't wait to read the others. Yet I was sad to finish them. I've re read them all a few times now.
Epic story of love, war and finding out about yourself. Shannon has to fight to regain what she's lost after being sent back to Tulsa OK. She must figure out a way to be sent back to her loving husband and friends. But, can she right the wrongs her "evil twin" has caused in both worlds? And keep her unborn child safe? Can she really go back leaving her family & friends in her old world?
I give this book 5 stars!
I enjoyed this book almost as much as the first one. I didn't care for the climax of the story for obvious reasons. I know the good guys don't always win but I can't be the only one screaming at my kindle that "THERE ALREADY WAS ONE!!!" But alas, Clint did what he chose to do. Otherwise, good read. It made me late for work a few times.
P.C. Cast has such an amazing mind. I have loved every book she has written. The writing itself isn't as great as the story itself, but the story is so great you see past the mistakes which would/should have been caught when proof reading.
I loved it. It even brought tears to my eyes it's so wonderfully written makes one wish it could happen well parts anyway. And I know you can't have good without evil I also love the way Clanfintan loves her (Shannon that is) It's beautiful a wonderous story couldn't put it down the books are magnificent and I also loved and hated the fact that Clint was so ,so noble I can't really find the right word for him my teenage daughter loves the series as well she has lent the book to her friend who now has a big crush on Clanfintan,we told her to stand in line ha ha
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this series! According to how you are counting this was the third (including the prequel) or the second in the series. The main character is a strong Oklahoma school teacher turned Goddess Incarnate. Shannon is a likable person in a mirror image of the previous GI Rhiannon. Except Rhiannon chose the dark side and ended up in Oklahoma while Shannon ended up in Partholon. Oops, but that changes somewhat in this book.
I don't want to give anything more away. Get ready to laugh or cry and possibly puke uncontrollably. The book holds you captive until you are gently set free.
I have ordered the next in the series, Divine by Blood. Can't wait to start reading it.
Let this be a lesson to those who find libraries to be places that steal away the profits. I accidentally checked out number five in this series. I couldn't follow it though I could tell I would love the book had I known more about the characters and the world. So I went online and have been buying and reading, in order these marvelous books. Though they are not lending enabled (a pity for those in this horrid economy that may not be able to afford them) they are at least text-to-speech enabled. That means when my eyes were tired I could still follow the story. Thank you!
P. C. Cast writes in a way that makes you feel you are a part of the story and her humor is always evident. She writes like she could be your best fem friend. Kudos for a job well done!
